Spirulina Microfarms
The food of the future grows where others see nothing.
We transform desolate land into thriving, scalable spirulina farms built with local communities, supported by global finance, to grow nutrition, income, and resilience.
Benefits of the farms
One farm can feed up to 5,000 people per week with 5g of spirulina powder = 200k people per year.
Spirulina is nutrient-dense and contains 60-70% protein.
Grown on non-arable land with solar power & recycled water.
Supports local enterprise through contracting builders. Trains and hires up to 8 community members full-time to run the farm.
Educates the next generation of farmers on-site and strives for local education integration.
Scalable and community-driven, microfarms empower people to tackle food insecurity through innovation, education, and local ownership.
A hub of excellence in Harare, Zimbabwe.
We opened the first spirulina farm in the country, which is empowering the community through enriched local diets and livelihoods. Operating with solar power, recycled water, and climate-friendly systems, the impact is just beginning; 40 contract jobs during the build, 30 educated students, and 6 full-time trained farm operators.
In one year, we will provide nutrition to 200,000 people and develop a course for students in partnership with the local Gwebi Agricultural College. The hub is building classrooms to fit 200 students.
This is not just a farm; it is a hub of innovation and empowerment.
